I want to delete this site and it wont let me

    I have canceled my upgraded subscription ect. and when I go to put the password in to delete the account it stays not letting me click delete. it just stays blurred out. Please delete this site!

    Hi there,

    To clarify, are you wanting to delete the site or delete your entire WordPress.com account? You have another domain subscription under your account for richliferealty.com. You’ll need to cancel that upgrade as well in order to be able to delete the entire account.

    Otherwise, you should be able to delete https://martinfaithpercherons.wordpress.com/ as the upgrade connected to that domain has been deactivated successfully.

    I just want to delete Martinfaithpercherons.com and it said I had to cancel my upgrades first. So I did. And still, when I get to delete site, I click it and a pop up opens saying “type in the password to confirm” with a cancel and a delete button under. Also a warning message that it will not be available in the future. I type in the password but the delete button stays transparent and the only button I can select is cancel.

    Deleting is not being given as a valid option. I can’t get my paycheck till the site is full taken down and deleted.

    Please help.

    Hi there,

    Are you sure it’s asking for your password in the confirmation pop-up? That should be asking you to type in the address of the site, i.e. martinfaithpercherons.wordpress.com

    Please try typing that in the confirmation box instead. Let us know if it still won’t work.

    Ok you’re right, it worked. But when I google the website, it still shows up in results and when I click on it it says that the domain is parked. Why is it still showing up?

    It’s up to Google to decide when and how to include/remove this page from search results, WordPress.com doesn’t have any control over that. For more information you can read our FAQ about search engines here:

    You can try requesting removal from Google by following the instructions here:

    In terms of the parked message, the domain was canceled outside of the five-day window, so that message will remain until the domain is fully canceled at the registry, which takes 5 days or so.
