I want to down load all images from the Media library? as it ia a wordpress.com domain. How can I do

  Hi all,
  I want to download (or export) all images from the media library from my wordpress.com site.
  How can I do this? Has anyone done this before?

  You do them one at a time by calling up the correct version of the image and saving it one image at a time to your computer

  This is a commonly requested feature over many years but one the staff does not seem to care about implementing an easy way of saving the entire media library or making it possible to backup the medial library, it would be a very useful feature as more and more people post from mobile devices and as the blog life extends over many personal computers where the images can get misplaced in the upgrading of computers

  There is no way to download your Media Library content except by creating an export file of your blog content. The only way to do this would be to export your site content as described here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/export
  NOTE: Your Media Library content is an attachment file to your XML export file and when you import that file you are asked if you want to include it or not.

  sigh…Thank you auxclass, I was hoping for a shortcut to glory :-).

  and thanks timethief, I already exported the content of all posts and pages, and when I imported the xml file(s), it always tells me that it failed to import media. I’m not sure if it was correctly reported because when I checked a few posts, and I could see the media embedded. Are you suggesting that I then save the embedded media files individually? It would still take a lot of time though.

  yes to get the media to your PC, you need to save them one at a time.

  Importing to a new site should move all the media that is used on Posts and Pages
