I want to downgrade to the free *.wordpress.com from the Premium plan

  I would like to keep my user account and name for the free 4cornerman.wordpress.com site for right now.

  I will upgrade later as my content and better planning dictates. I also need to learn the site more.

  We cannot do this for you.

  You must be logged in under the exact same username account that registered the blog and purchased the upgrade.

  Know that if you cancel your domain, there is no guarantee that you will be able to reacquire it in the future. Someone else could gain access to it so if you want to keep it and use it on another site please let Staff know that.

  You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard, cancel an upgrades, claim a refund for any qualified upgrades, and disable auto-renew.

  WordPress.com provides a 30-day refund on all upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers. The refund period for Domain Registrations and Renewals is 48 hours.

  Note: It takes from 1 – 2 weeks for the refund to be received.

  Provided you are logged in under the same username account that purchased the upgrade, and you are within the allowed time frame for refunds, you can cancel and request a refund from your dashboard > Store > My Upgrades.   I can absolutely help you with that.

  Just to clarify, if you want to cancel your domain 4cornersofaman.com it can take up to several weeks for our domain registrar to release the domain, and it may not choose to do so. We can’t guarantee that your domain will ever be available to you again once canceled. If you have any intention of using 4cornersofaman.com again in the future, I suggest that you do not choose to cancel.

  Please confirm that you understand and want to cancel your domain. Once you have done so, I will cancel it and remove the upgrade from your account.

  Also, if you choose to keep the domain registration for 4cornersofaman.com, you can do so without purchasing the WordPress.com Premium upgrade. You can just pay for the $18/yr domain registration rather than the $99/yr Premium upgrade.
