I want to drop the "wordpress" in the domain name

  I have no idea how the domain name game is played but i would really like to configure my website the same way but i’m tired of telling people and friends that you have to add “.wordpress”…. so really i want to keep everything the same but drop the “.wordpress” off the domain name

  First, you should purchase a domain name using the Upgrades → Domains page in your WordPress.com site.

  I checked your account and you already did that part, so now you just need to set the custom domain as the primary domain for your site. Open your WordPress.com blog dashboard, and go to Upgrades → Domains. Select your domain and click the Update Primary Domain button.
