I want to embed a wordpress template into my existing site, as a subdirectory
-
Hi,
I have an existing website. Its an e-commerce site.
I want to start a blog, but i don’t want it to have a new domain name. I want to embed the blog within my site as a subdirectory, so that it looks something like: mysitename.com/blog
I’ve googled a lot but found no solid answer on whether this is possible, and if yes, how? Could you please let me know if it is?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If you have Cpanel access you should be able to create a subdirectory and place your WordPress install in that subdirectory.
That being said, since it would be a WordPress install on your host server you will be looking at the WordPress.org version of WordPress rather than WordPress.com.
Read more about the differences here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
And search the forums at WordPress.org – https://wordpress.org/support/ And ask your question there.

Check the WordPress.org forums. That will put you in the best environment to find your answers.
