I want to enable 2FA for this mentioned website

    As I know that I can only enable 2FA through wordpress.com/me page but when I go to this page and enable the 2FA when I login to the admin panel of above mention website it is still not enable and I can login just with the password.

    Hi there,

    Two-step authentication is enabled for your WordPress.com account. However, you mentioned a website, but I don’t see any sites on your account.

    What’s the address of the site you’re referring to so I can point you in the right direction of getting support?

    Hi there,

    Your site is not hosted on our servers, but using the open source version of WordPress at another hosting provider. So it has no connection at all to your WordPress.com username account.

    Our 2FA settings only protect your WordPress.com account, not your admin user accounts for any WordPress sites hosted elsewhere.

    To secure your admin account on that site with 2FA you’ll have to install a 2FA plugin instead. I’m not able to recommend anything specific, but you can see what’s available in the WordPress.org plugin directory here:

    One of the options you’ll see there is Jetpack – Jetpack can connect your site to your WordPress.com account, so you can manage the site using our tools. It also has a feature called Secure Sign-on which then lets you log into WP-Admin using your WordPress.com username account, instead of your admin user account.

    That will secure your site via your 2FA here on WordPress.com, but you’d need to add some custom code to the site as well to force that, remove the login form, etc. You can find detailed information on that feature here:
