I want to export a copy of my website to my local drive on my computer

I’m moving from one web host to another and been advised that I need to do a soft install of my word press website by first exporting a copy of my website on to my local drive on my computer. Can you please advise me how to do this?
I’ve seen a search item that talked about exporting blog data but I want to export the entire website contents. Many thanks, Sandra
