I want to get my domain name back

  • Unknown's avatar

    I just cancelled my domain name because, for some reason, the discount coupon I had used wasn’t included in the final payment and also the payment didn’t include the premium plan, only the domain name (whenever I tried it again, it asked me for both plans). Is there a way I can purchase both again with the domain name I initially wanted?

  • Hi there,

    Please go ahead and buy only the plan you want. The domain has not been released yet, so you won’t be able to re-purchase it, but once you’ve bought the plan, we can restore the domain to your account, using the free domain included in the plan as payment.

    I just purchased the personal plan. I wish to have the custom domain I purchased and canceled yesterday included in my plan. Thank you so much!

  • Hi there,

    I have restored the domain back to your site. Let me know if there’s anything else I can help you with.

    Perfect! Thanks again! There is one last doubt… I wish to use a custom domain for my Tumblr and import all the content I have in my Tumblr blog to this one. Is there any risk that the original contents of my current WordPress blog get deleted or overwritten if I do that (particularly in the posts whose dates coincide with other posts I made on Tumblr)?

    Oh no! The website was working fine and now this message appears:

    Your connection is not private
    Attackers might be trying to steal your information from hesperides.co (for example, passwords, messages, or credit cards). Learn more
    NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID

    I’ve tried through different devices (using different WiFi sources) and I can’t seem to access it :(

    Also, I think there seems to be a problem with the domain, since the option to get a free domain is still available:

  • Hey there. Sorry we missed these responses somehow.

    – Regarding adding the domain, we have already re-added the domain to your site, so you won’t need to add it from your end.

    – Importing tumblr won’t overwrite WordPress posts, so no worries there.

    – Regarding the SSL, WordPress.com will add SSL automatically for sites pointed here. I’m not so sure about tumblr though, and it looks like the domain is pointed there currently. Can you clarify whether you mean to point it here?
