I want to give someone else access, to my site, but not total control. Is there a way to do that? They are techs, working on the site.

For starters we need the real URL of the site beginning with http to give you accurate help. The site linked to your name is two years old an empty.
You might be in the wrong forum.

Here what should you need to know http://codex.wordpress.org/Roles_and_Capabilities.
I’m not sure what they will do with your site. if they will work to customize your site, I think you should give them Administrator rule. But they will have access like your own.

No, don’t give WordPress.COM bloggers links to answers relating to WordPress.ORG software.

If you want to give them enough access to edit themes, etc., then you must assign them the admin role–which has total control. Every other role option does not have access to edit such things (e.g., editors can only manage and change posted content).
You can always give your tech person the admin password only to change what needs changing, then change the password after all is complete.

Folks – this forum is for support of WordPress.COM hosted sites ONLY – giving bad advice to people with .ORG installs is not what this forum is for – that is why I ask for the URL – to make sure we gave them accurate and proper advice –
If they have a .ORG install – which I think they have – the access permissions are more complex than here and what a developer needs access to for working on a .ORG install depending on what a developer is doing is a lot more access than is even possible with a WordPress.COM blog

One way to locate the URL is through your browser (for Mac users) > View > Developer > View Source. From here you will find the URL inside the HTML, etc. code toward the top of the page: http://seldigs.wordpress.com
