I want to have a password to be able to visit my blog
-
Hi!
I would just like people I know to read my blog, and have hade another blog before where I was able to set a password to the blog, wich poeple needed to know to pass through and read my blog.
I can’t find that alternative here on wordpress.
The only alternative I see is that I can make my blog “invisible”, and that people that would like to visit needs to sign up here and then be accepted by me.
It would be easier just with a password – but is that possible? Or do I have to go for the other alternative? Thanks for help :)

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It wont be a problem.. i’ve hade a password on my old blog for 1.5 years, and my friends are furtunately loyal to me, and it hasn’t been revealed..! :)
So – is it possible with a password here? -
You have to password protect each post and page. You can use the bulk edit feature and do them in groups to make it easier, but each one would have to have a password assigned. They can all be the same password, and after they enter the password once, wordpress will set a cookie on their system and remember them and they won’t have to enter the password again until they clear their cookies.
Password protecting a site is not possible here. You would have to set it to private and then the people you wanted to view the site would have to get a wordpress.com account (they do not need a blog, just a username and password). Then they would log into their account and could then view your site.
