I want to have tiles on my static home page that point to new posts

    is this even possible? Currently it says if I want a static homepage that a separate page has to be for all new posts. But my home page looks pathetic as a result because its essentially just a greeting. I want the greeting and then under that to have a section showing featured posts, and another one for like upcoming things ect. Is this possible?
