I want to hide several blog entries

  — I do not want to delete them, I do not want to password protect nor make them private. I *do* want to link them from another blog page back to be viewed, just not viewed on the original blog page itself.

  Any advice?

  I can think of a way you could do this with pages rather than with posts:

  Using pages, you could create and activate a custom menu which would allow you to control the pages that are linked to in your menu. You could then just leave the pages you want ‘hidden’ out of the custom menu, so there would be no links to them on your actual site but you would still be able to provide publicly viewable links to them.

  Ok, I understand this suggestion, using pages, but these are individual blog entries that I no longer want seen in this particular stream because they’re no longer germane to the stream.

  I don’t want to delete them because I don’t want to lose them completely….

  I’m sorry, as far I can see, the only option is to make your posts private and provide whomever you share the links with with the password for that post.
