I want to import my blog from Shopify. Not the products just the blog.

  I want to import my blog from Shopify. Not the products just the blog. I’m closing the store and retaining the blog. Is there any tool anywhere that can help me do this?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Thanks Raincoaster, though I cannot see anyway to import a blog based on the RSS feed either. There seems to be a widget which would enable me to link to the existing blog and show it, but not import the content etc. I’ll keep digging but it seems everyone has assumed that once you make it to Shopify you probably won’t leave.

  The RSS feed is in the form of XML. That is the kind of file you need to import here. You create one big EXPORT file from Shopify and then you Import it on the tools page of the dashboard. You may need to use Feedburner to turn your RSS feed into a bundle containing your whole blog (people used to do that but I’m not sure it still works).

  Alternately, you can always copy and paste, but if you’re going to do that you NEED to go to the Settings -> Writing page and select “WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML” and save that. This prevents any copy paste issues with HTML tags etc.
