I want to import old subscriptions from a self hosted blog to my psychchoices.or

  I want to import old subscriptions from an old self hosted blog to my psychchoices.org blog. I have complete access to the old blog’s database etc

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  When you mean old subscriptions are you speaking about your followers? Do you want your old followers moved from self-hosted, WordPress install to your WordPress.com site: psychchoices.org?

  We’d only be able to do this if your self-hosted site had Jetpack activated. If you did, please provide me the blog URL and I can transfer your subscribers over. If not, unfortunately, we wouldn’t be able to do that.

  It doesn’t have jetpack, but I can get you the whole subscription table for you since I have access to the database behind it

  Hi there,

  Unfortunately, we wouldn’t be able to import followers through that method. What I suggest doing is publishing a post about the switch on your self-hosted site and have followers subscribe to your new site.

  So all the followers subscribed through the Jetpack Subscriptions widget can be transferred to your WordPress.com site. For more information please view this guide here:

  http://jetpack.me/support/subscriptions/

  If you have subscribers subscribed through that widget, please let me know the url to that Jetpack site, and the WordPress.com site you want them transferred to.

  The followers weren’t subscribed through Jetpack, I used the basic widget for them. But I can give you the whole exported table. Maybe you can import them to the new blog, psychchoices.org

  Hi there,

  Unfortunately, I wouldn’t be able to do that. The tool we have is made for moving subscribers on a Jetpack site.

  I recommend making a new post on your site to inform them of the move and have your readers subscribe to the new site.
