I want to keep my domain but move from wordpress.com to wordpress.org.

  I want to move from wordpress.com, to wordpress.org. My question is, I purchased my domain name, http://www.thefashionminx.com through wordpress.com. Now, I understand that I can have that domain simply pointed towards wordpress.org and move my blog there, but I don’t want to have to pay the forwarding fee every single month. Is there a way I can simply own this domain and park it with wordpress.org? I am new to all this and I appreciate your help. Thank you!!

  You can easily direct your domain to your hosting provider by changing your nameservers: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/domain-management/#update-nameservers

  There are no monthly fees.
