I want to keep one address but cancel the other

    I currently have two addresses for my site. Last January, I paid $18. for thetwinfactor.com, but then I learned that we could register the address twinsanity.co for $25, which my brother paid for in June. I was planning to just let the first address expire but this morning I got a message saying that twinsanity.co will also be inaccessible after the 14th unless I either renew or cancel the original URL.

    Is there a way that I can let thetwinfactor.com expire and still keep twinsanity.co? Do I really have to pay for the first address just to keep the second one? It’s fine if I do, but I’d rather only pay for one.

    Hey there,

    I can definitely cancel thetwinfactor.com so that you don’t have to pay for them both.

    So that we are on the same page, once you decide to cancel your domain, there is no guarantee that you will be able to reacquire it in the future. Someone else could gain access to it.

    If you want to keep using your domain but you don’t want to use WordPress.com anymore, you don’t have to cancel it. Instead, you can move the domain to another site, using the Domain Administration tool under Store > Domains, at the bottom of the page.

    I plan to stay on WordPress.com for now. I don’t need to move to another site. There’s no need for that at the present time. I just want to continue using the domain name twinsanity.co and cancel thetwinfactor.com so that I don’t have to pay for 2 domain names every year.

    P.S., I paid $18. to renew my domain name this morning.

    Not a problem! I have canceled your subscription for thetwinfactor.com and refunded the charges back to you. It can take between 7-10 business days for the refund to reflect on your bank statement.
