i want to know my ip address of my blog?

    I bought a new domain name which i want to link up with my existing free word press blog for which i needed ip address can you help me to know the ip address, ill be very thankful if i get an help faster.

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    The best way to map a domain to a WordPress.com blog is to set your domain’s name servers to the following values:

    NS1.WORDPRESS.COM

    NS2.WORDPRESS.COM

    NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

    However, if your registrar requires that you create A records, please note that our IPs change over time. Because of this, your domain might stop working at some point in the future. If that happens, please get in touch with us to find out the most current IPs and then update your A records, accordingly.

    If you still want to map your domain using A records, please be sure to create two records using these IP addresses:

    192.0.78.25

    192.0.78.24

    I’m having the same issue, so thank you for responding rootjosh. My registrar is also asking if there is specific hostname or if it is blank for the A record

    Any help would be most appreciated!

    I would point your registrar’s support team to my previous reply. They should know what to do.

    I have sent our registrar the link to your reply, however, I still need a hostname. Their response is as follows:

    With any A record there is some form of hostname whether this just be a @ symbol or just www, depending on the server it is pointing to the host names may have to be formatted different.

    If they can confirm the below should work, I can put these in place.

    Host: @ Content: 192.0.78.25

    Host: www Content: 192.0.78.25

    Host: @ Content: 192.0.78.24

    Host: www Content: 192.0.78.24

    Tell them that both IP addresses are for the root (so would be @). And the www value can either be set as a CNAME and forwarded to the root (again, the @) or can be set as A records to the same two IP addresses.

    They are still valid. They do not change often, but we cannot guarantee that they will never change. This is why we encourage people to use nameservers to point domains to WordPress.com.
