I want to make my blog password protected, but can't install the plugin

    Third party plugins cannot be installed on WordPress.com sites. This is a security risk as we cannot vet all outside code and it puts our users, their sites, and our servers at risk.

    Plugins are only usable on self-hosted WordPress.org sites.
