i want to make permanent the front page of my site. how do i organize my posts?

  i want to make static/permanent the frontpage menu categories but every time i add a new post it bumps them to a second page.
  how do i make static/permanent specific categories?

  i figured it out. i just have to re-date the publishing the posts i want up front.
