I want to make pictures in my blog round – how?

  Please help me getting my pics in my blog round

  Hi marlenekranz,

  Rounding all blog post images for example would require Custom CSS, which is part of the Premium & Business plans. And having a quick look at your site, you may not like the results because some images are very rectangular (ie tall or wide), and do not round into a circle like a perfect square easily does. You could restrict the width/height of images, but that introduces issues with cropping. This article talks about these concerns.

  Another option would be to apply the circular look with a graphics editor like Photoshop before you upload them to your website. Or if you did got the CSS route, only partially rounding the images so they appear softer, but you don’t run into the issues mentioned earlier.

  Thanks so much for your reply!

  I am interested in changing them in a SPECIFIC blog – the one I am writing right now – and not in hindsight on all of my blogs!

  I wrote one on Japan last year in April and when doing this I could insert a pic in a round format…sadly I do not remember what I did to achieve this.

  Any suggestions?

  Darn, I’m not seeing a rounded insert/edit option. Outside of editing using software like Photoshop, you may try cropping your image to a square ratio first, going to the “HTML” tab when you’re editing the post and adding style="border-radius:50%;" to the respective <img> tag. There also could be a plugin that helps with this, but I’m not aware of one personally.

  Ha! Well, you’ve helped anyway. Maybe by chance on a random day I discover/ remember again what I did…it was easy! So maybe that option doesn’t exist any more.

  Hi there @marlenekranz, looking at your April 2017 post, it looks like you used the Gallery Circle type option when inserting a multi-photo Gallery. https://en.support.wordpress.com/gallery/
