I want to migrate from wordpress.com to wordpress.org

  Hi,

  I want to migrate from wordpress.com to wordpress.org. At the moment, I see ‘closing’ account on .com and re-opening it at .org as the best way out. What do you think?

  Are there any other alternatives?

  Creating a site using the WordPress.org software will entail moving to a completely unrelated company and creating an account with them. Even having access to the WordPress.org support forum will entail creating a new account there as it has no connection with this WordPress.com forum. You can of course export/import any content: https://move.wordpress.com/
