I want to pay for my expiring upgrade – how do i do that?!

  someone who helped me put the site together paid initially for the site upgrade and now I cannot see how to pay for it myself. Advice mightily appreciated!

  Blogs belong only to the username accounts that registered them. Provided you are logged in under the exact same username account that registered the blog and who purchased the upgrade you will be able to renew it here > Dashboard > Settings > My Upgrades

  Did the blog’s owner make your username account an Admin of the blog you want to pay for the upgrade on and transfer it to your ownership? The owner of the blog to be transfered must add the other username account as an Admin of the blog.

  Thank you so much for this timethief.

  We went through that, and I am now the owner of the blog, but when I go into my upgrades I still cannot pay to renew my site! The payment bits are still not clickable.

  Any other ideas?

  Hi @georginastevens,

  I’m showing that the upgrade which is attached to your blog was purchased by a different user. That means that only they will be able to renew it unless it is transferred over to you. If you’d like, I can contact them and request permission to transfer ownership of that upgrade over to your username.

  Let me know if you’d like me to do so.

  Hi amightywp, thanks for your message. That is correct it was purchased by the girl who build it for me. She has tranferred it over to me, and I am now the owner of the site – and received this email to say so:

  BUt still there is no renew button for me to pay to renew my site. Please can you help? I don’t have long to sort this out, and I do not want to lose my site, as it is my business. Thanks in advance.

  OK, I see what has happened here. I’ve sorted out the ownership issue and you should now be able to renew the domain mapping!
