I want to put a link to a document in my media section on sidebar.

  I don’t want it to appear as a page but simply as a link in my sidebar.

  I would also like to get rid of the Leave a Comment under posts since I have disabled posts. I am using Twenty Ten.

  In this case, I would retrieve the link to your file from the Media section of your blog’s Dashboard, add it to the Links section of your Dashboard, then add a Links widget via Appearance -> Widgets in your Dashboard.

  Unfortunately, the Leave a Comment link cannot be removed in the theme you’re using, but i can be hidden via CSS if you have a Custom Design upgrade.
