I want to put a .mov video I bought into a post on my blog

    Hello,

    When I tried to upload a .mov video to my blog I got the error message stating that this file type was not allowed. Could you tell me how I can do this? Since it is a third party video, I don’t know that I can first upload it to youtube etc.

    I have already purchased a 10GB upgrade which also allows me to upload audio. Can I also upload video or do I have to purchase a further upgrade?

    Hi Phil,

    Uploading videos directly to your blog requires the VideoPress upgrade — that enables video file uploads. If you’d rather not get the upgrade, you’re welcome to upload it elsewhere (e.g. YouTube or Vimeo) and embed it on your blog that way.

    Either way, I’d recommend checking to make sure you have permission to upload the video to either directly to your blog or another video service. Please let me know if you have any questions about that!
