I want to receive an upgrade as a Gift

Hi,

I wish to upgrade my account, but currently don’t own any online payment methods. I’ve got friends who are willing to use their payment methods to get me running, while I repay them in hard cash.

How do they do that like a “gift” option so their payment method is not stored within my account? I would like to go for the “Business Plan”

Hi there,

There is no way to gift an upgrade to someone like this, no.

If that friend has a WordPress.com username account, add then as an admin to your site and have them purchase the upgrade. Then ask them to contact us via live chat, or to post in this thread, asking that we transfer the upgrade to your account. Once that is done you can remove them as a user on your site again.

Haughty added me as an admin on her blog, and I just purchased the Business level account for her. Is there anything else we need to do to get her site upgraded?

@haughtyangel – You’ll only see the live chat option once the upgrade is transferred to your account.

Can I also add on the same thread where the live support option is ?

https://wordpress.com/help/contact gives me only a form to fill, and this support page still shows a button at the bottom asking me to upgrade to premium. I’ve already force refreshed the page. I’m confused.
