I want to remove the "about" from my domain name?

  My website page lost the data so now uses same domain WITH /about. I want my default URL back? My default URL should be OurTrekAcrossAmerica.WordPress.com. But requires /about to be added.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  I’m not sure I understand what you mean about your site losing data. Did you delete the About page?

  Ah, your About Page is there: http://ourtrekacrossamerica.wordpress.com/about/

  It appears that you have set the front page of your site to be static, which you may not wish to do unless you do it properly.

  Go to the back end (Administration Panels)
  Go to Settings > Reading
  Set the “Front Page Displays As” to “Your Latest Posts”

  That should resolve that part of your issues.

  You may also use the Custom Menus features to customize your site’s menus, and the Sidebar Widgets (Appearance > Widgets) to add categories and Pages to the sidebar to help with navigation.
