I want to remove the 'protected' on pages
-
I have a password protected page on my site. Once people have entered the password, ‘Protected:’ gets added to the title. How can I remove this?
I found a plugin, but wordpress.com no longer supports plugins and I do not want to have to switch completely to self hosting for such a small change. What can I do?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

That’s not possible here at wordpress.COM. You can purchase the Premium upgrade bundle http://store.wordpress.com/plans/premium/ as it has a Custom Design upgrade which will let you make a few cosmetic changes with CSS editing, but it won’t allow changes to the HTML or PHP code.
You can find more information on that here:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/Does Customize let me edit HTML?
No. Customize allows you to edit fonts, colors, and CSS only. You can change the appearance of a theme, but not its HTML markup or PHP code. If you require this functionality, please consider moving your blog to a web host that supports theme code modifications. You can read more about why here, http://support.wordpress.com/code/ and find a suitable host here. http://get.wp.com/hosting/

There is no FTP access and no blogger installed plugin capability on any free hosted WordPress.COM blogs and there is no upgrade you can purchase here that changes that reality.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/ftp-access/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/If you require plugins hire a web host http://wordpress.org/hosting and set up your own wordpress.org software install.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, https://wordpress.org/support/register.php so you can post to the support forums there.
Resetting your WordPress.ORG password http://codex.wordpress.org/Resetting_Your_Password
WordPress.org support docs are at https://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page
