I want to renew my domains now two months before expiration, will it add up?

  As the title says, my two domains will expire in two months in January, however, as I have balance now anyway, I thought I could do it just now.

  But my question is, if it will really add up with the time that is still left? If I renew, I will purchase 1 year but since there are still 2 months left, will my domain actually be paid for 14 months then?

  If so, I would do it now, if not, I would of course wait until January. Anybody knows something?
