i want to set up hosting for a domain name through godaddy

I registered a domain name through Godaddy. I just terminated my web hosting agreement with Godaddy and I want to publish the pages I have created with WordPress. The Godaddy rep says I need to get “nameserver” from WordPress and then put that information in the DNS zone of the Godaddy “domain” menu; then I need to point an IP address to another IP address, or something like that. Please clarify what I need to do in order to active WP hosting and publish my site.
