  I want to completely shut down this blog

  Yah ! You can shut down receiving emails by unsubscribed from the email sent to you. But shutting down wordpress blog can’t be ! unless you no longer sign in . Just log out from the blog and clear every search from recent pages that’s all you’ll no longer see any again , but anytime you sign in it’ll continue.

  @susannahphillips – I see that you have successfully deleted the site linked to your username.

  For anyone else who may find this thread, to delete your site from WordPressdotcom, follow these instructions: https://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/

  Please note that deleting a site is permanent and you will not be able to recover either the content or the URL.
