I want to start over in order to use my previously purchased domain name.

  I have a domain name and while setting up I did not have an opportunity to upgrade to use it and now it only allows me to use the domainname.wordpress.com and that is NOT what I want. How can I start over?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hello darnelldibbles,

  I own the domain thebandsplayedon.com through godaddy and I want to use it and not one that WordPress chooses for me. How during setup do I indicate this?

  Hi there,

  In order to map a domain you already own to your WordPress.com site, go to the Domains page, select your site, and choose the Add Domain option. Then, Click the Upgrade button next to “Already own a domain?” You should be able to add thebandsplayedon.com from there.
