  How can I completely dump my site and start over with a new theme that better suits my needs?

  Hi. You don’t need to empty your site to change Themes. You can easily switch themes by going here: https://wordpress.com/themes/free and choosing from one of the 90+ free themes. If you upgrade you can choose from the 190+ Premium Themes.

  If you do want to delete all the posts on your blog, but keep the blog-name, just follow these instructions: https://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/edit-posts-screen/#deleting-posts

  If you want to empty your site completely (ie: photos, posts, categories, everything), follow these instructions: https://en.support.wordpress.com/empty-site/
