I want to talk to a person re domain names and e-mail.
-
If I cancel my godaddy account and register my domain name thru wordpress, can I keep the same domain name I had? Can I continue to receive e-mail at that domain as I do now with godaddy or should I renew with godaddy but creat everything in wordpress, including my webpage? I would much rather talk to a person. I’m tired of clicking through so many different pages in support.

In theory, all of that is possible, but I recommend talking to GoDaddy first.
Most registrars take ownership of the domain when you cancel it, so it may not be possible to re-register it.
If you do go ahead with the cancellation, you can try adding the domain to your blog via Store -> Domains in your blog’s Dashboard. This will register the domain through us, if it is available.
Then, you can setup email through your domain via Google Apps for Domains: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/google-apps-email/
If you choose to keep your domain with GoDaddy, you can map it to your existing WordPress.com blog following this guide: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/
The email instructions are the same if you domain is either registered with us or just mapped here.
