I want to transfer all 96 of my articles from my blogspot blog to wordpress
-
Hi,
I recently discovered wordpress, and am amazed at how superior the product is to blogger.com. I have a lot of content on my blogpsot page, and I wanted to transfer this content onto wordpress, but with the published dates and times intact. It seems simple enough (in blogger you can actually retroactively alter the date that an article was published), but I can’t find a way to do this on wordpress. Can someone help me out?
Thanks,
HF
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

First, we’d need a link to your WordPress blog, in order to see which type it is. Then, we have some bad news: Google has recently messed up their export system so that importing Blogspot blogs to any other platform doesn’t work well at all. You might want to wait until they’ve fixed it before trying an import.

I meant the WordPress blog; there are two types of WordPress. If you haven’t created it yet, I’d hold off and see if Google fixes the problem first.

I created a wordpress blog but I have not added any content to it. The blog is http://hominidfarm.wordpress.com/. Do you know if there is anyway for me to upload content onto my wordpress blog and manually adjust the date so that it appears as though it were published at some point in the past? I want to maintain an archive of all my blog entries that is accurate, since much of this information is related to current events.
btw, cool icon.

Certainly you can change the date of any post, just by hitting Edit and changing the date in the sidebar on the right. But it will import them and show them on the date they were originally published, or it should, once it’s fixed.
Thanks. The avatar is my company’s logo, that I commissioned from a local artist.

Ok. How can I keep tabs on this so I know when the import feature is fixed? Plus, once it is fixed, I still don’t know how to do it.

Here’s how to do it:
1. Import
Go to your dashboard of your new blog and use the import tool.
Dashboard => Tools => Import
More info: http://support.wordpress.com/import/2. Announce the change to your readers
Now you’ll need to let your readers know that your blog has a new home you can do this by making a new post on your old blog with the new URL.If you need more info you can take a look here:
