I want to transfer an already registered domain name to wordpress.com

  My existing domain and website are hosted through Yahoo Small Business (domain originally registered through Network Solutions LLC). I have started a trial wordpress.com Premium account and have created a website with the default “name.wordpress.com” domain. I would now like to transfer my domain to be the primary domain for this name.wordpress.com website I’ve jut created. Essentially, I would like this new wordpress.com site I’ve juts created to override my existing website that is hosted through Yahoo Small Business. However, I don’t want to deactivate my Yahoo Small Business website until I am sure that I can successfully begin using my domain with my new wordpress.com site.
  (I will also need to setup and link an email client, since my existing (email visible only to moderators and staff) is provided through Yahoo’s hosting service)
  I would like to complete this process in the next 24 hours if possible.

  Thanks for getting in touch. While we register new domains here at WordPress.com, we’re not able to accept incoming transfers of existing domain names. Therefore, we recommend that you keep the name registered at your current registrar. You can use the domain for your site here at WordPress.com by mapping the domain, as explained here:
