  While we register new domains here at WordPress.com, we’re not able to accept incoming transfers of existing domain names. Therefore, we recommend that you keep the name registered at your current registrar. You can use the domain for your site here at WordPress.com by mapping the domain, as explained here:

  @sheridandaly According to the Wix domain documentation, domains registered on Wix can be pointed to a new hosting provider only by changing IP addresses so that new A records are created. If you wish to change domain name server settings and not IP addresses, they say you’ll need to transfer your domain to a different registrar first.

  @rootjosh-what would be the best way to provide the IP information to those who need it?
