  To transfer a domain to us, you’ll first need to create a site with us, and upgrade the site to a paid plan. Go to https://wordpress.com/start/site/ and follow the steps there. On the domains step, select the option to use a domain you already own. You can find detailed information on the transfer process here:

  If you have an existing site at GoDaddy, and you also want to transfer that site’s content to WordPress.com, you can see the options to do that here:
