I started a wordpress blog six months ago. At that time I had an existing website on Weebly. The domain name was katherinebouton.com.
That domain name has now expired but apparently I also have a wordpress blog in that name.
I use only one WordPress site: HearBetterWithHearingLoss. I would like to change that URL to katherinebouton.com. I would also like to delete the other sites.
How do I do this? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Katherine,
You do have a WordPress site with a Domain Mapping upgrade for katherinebouton.com, however that upgrade is for when you purchased a domain elsewhere and you want it pointed to WordPress.com. The domain must still be active for it work.
According to this public search, the domain is active, not expired. Do you still own the domain?
http://who.is/whois/katherinebouton.com
I went ahead and transferred the Domain Mapping upgrade from the old WordPress site to your current WordPress site at hearbetterwithhearingloss.wordpress.com, but did not make the domain name your primary domain to make sure the site remains active.
If you still own the domain katherinebouton.com, you’ll need to change the domains name servers to point to WordPress.com. This article explains how:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/
The name servers for WordPress.com are:
NS1.WORDPRESS.COM NS2.WORDPRESS.COM NS3.WORDPRESS.COMIf you can’t find how to change them at your registrar’s settings, that support link includes an example email you can send to your registrar for assistance.
Once you have updated the name servers, it may take up to 48 hours for the domain to be pointed to your WordPress.com site.
Let me know if you hit any snags, or if you no longer own the domain name so we can discuss your options.
Best,

Hello Alex G or whoever answers this.
I tried your suggestion and got completely entangled. From the very first the language was different. There is no “map an existing domain.” It says something similar but not the same. So I wonder if I’m going wrong on the first step.
I have two wordpress blogs
(email visible only to moderators and staff)
and
katherinebouton.com.katherinebouton.com is not an active blog and I want to transfer that name to hearbetter….. I have been told to ask for a 301 redirect.
I do not use email connected to this account. I basically simply want to change the name of the blog from hearbetter to katherinebouton.com.
Can you help? -
Hi Katherine,
You won’t need a redirect unless you want the old blog, katherinebouton.wordpress.com to point to the new blog, katherinebouton.com / hearbetterwithhearingloss.wordpress.com.
I basically simply want to change the name of the blog from hearbetter to katherinebouton.com.
Can you help? You have a Domain Mapping upgrade for katherinebouton.com enabled for the blog hearbetterwithhearingloss. You can confirm that here:
https://hearbetterwithhearingloss.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=domains
It had previously been associated with katherinebouton.wordpress.com, but I’ve already moved it over to hearbetterwithhearingloss.
That’s the first step in change the domain name, and that has you covered on the WordPress.com side.
The next bit requires you to change the name servers at your domain registrar. According to the public search, that would be at Register.com. Register.com has instructions on how to change name servers here:
https://forum.web.com/register/faq/#AccountInformation/How_Do_I_Change_My_DNSSettings.htm
However, it’s possible you purchased the domain from one of their resellers — do you remember where you bought the domain katherinebouton.com? Because that’s where you’ll need to make these changes.
Following those instructions, change the name servers for katherinebouton.com to these three records:
NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
NS3.WORDPRESS.COMAfter those are setup, return to your Domain settings here on WordPress.com:
https://hearbetterwithhearingloss.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=domains
And update your Primary Domain to be katherinebouton.com.
Best,
-Alex G.
