I want to try out wordpress before committing

  I tried to sign up for the free wordpress so I can try it out before I officially move from webflow, or use them both. Currently my website is hosted in the webflow server, and I would like to keep it that way. I tried singing up and since I already have a domain it claims I need to pay 96$. Is there a way I can first check that my theory of connecting the two sites smoothly works before paying that big sum?
  Also do I need to pay for ecommece plan if I’m using a payment via plugin and not Stripe or PayPal as is offered in woocomerce?
