  Hi there,

  Do you mean that you’d like for your domain name, jeffrobertson.org, to no longer be used to pull up your WordPress.com site (and instead have your WordPress.com address, scubajeff8.wordpress.com, be the address which is used?).   If you want to use your domain for a new WordPress.com site then you should go ahead and create the new site and then we can move the domain name over for you. There’s no need to delete it or anything.

  If you want to use the domain elsewhere (with another company), again, there’s no need to delete it. You can transfer the domain to another registrar and use the domain there. If you delete the domain it can take several days up to several weeks for the domain to become available for you to purchase again.
