I can’t see the PayPal option for payment to upgrade. And it is not accepting any of my cards, Visa, Master card (Debit card)

There’s no option to pay via PayPal. I am tagging a WP support – you will find “modlook” on the right side of this thread – to assist you with your payment.

Hi there,
Your account is currently set to use Indian Rupees as currency. The Pay via PayPal option is not currently available for that currency, but you should still be able to pay via any major debit or credit card.
Alternatively I can set your account currency to US Dollars instead. Then you should have the Pay via PayPal option. Please let me know if I should do this.

(Also after making the purchase, I can customize the domain right?) I understood this part so never mind. But if I can get the currency changed so I am able to pay then itll be good!

I can still view in INR. I logged out and logged back in to check but it is still the same :(

Hello @kokkieh, am just sending her a screenshot. @kanishkasdiary you might have just not noticed it – the PayPal option is just a small logo/icon on the lower right hand corner. It says, or use PayPal. I also didn’t notice it before. See this screenshot.

Looks like we’ve had at least one other report of this happening, so it looks like it might be a bug. I’ve reported it to our developers, but can’t say if or when it will be fixed.
The other option is that I can try to send you a manual payment link instead. That will allow you to pay in USD using your card, and then I can manually add the upgrade to your account.
If you want to try that, please confirm which plan you are trying to buy, and for which site.
staff-imahappyengineer, as I indicated above, the Pay via PayPal option is not available if the account is set to use INR for the currency. That link does not exist if you’re logged into an account using that currency.

I need the personal plan for the domain kanishkasdiary.wordpress.com, I will be able to change it to something different after the payment arrangements are made by you, right?

I’ve sent you a payment link via email. Let’s see if you’re able to pay that way.
Once the plan is active on your account you’ll be able to add a custom domain in place of the free address, yes.

I have had same issue. Have tried to pay to upgrade using 2 different cards (Visa and MasterCard) but each time get told it’s been declined or problem completing transaction. Anyone know what the problem is! Must be major issue if WordPress are suffering from users being unable to pay for upgrades!

Debit cards use the same form as credit cards. Debit cards from a big card provider like Visa or Mastercard will also have a CVV code on the back. If the cards don’t work, and they also don’t work via the link I emailed you, then the transaction may be getting blocked by your bank.
I don’t see any failed payment in your account, which means it’s also most likely your bank that’s blocking the transactions. Please follow up with them to make sure that’s not the case.
