I want to upgrade, don’t want to cancel my premium, but don’t want automatic renewal
-
I’m a little puzzled about your instructions here.
First off, you have ‘cancellation’ and ‘disabling automatic renewal’ in the same section.
‘Within the 30-day refund policy window, the process outlined below will immediately cancel your plan and issue a refund. If you would like to turn off automatic renewal during this time, so that you can manually renew, contact our Happiness Engineers.’
I want to upgrade to Premium, but I want to be able to renew it manually. Currently, I don’t know what my monetary situation will look like next year, but I wanted to try it for this year. I don’t want to cancel my Premium for this year though and receive a refund.
Would I have to wait for 30 days before disabling automatic renewal? Otherwise risk getting my upgrade canceled? Is that what this paragraph is implying?

Basically, it seems like the only people who can turn off automatic renewal are people who have had the upgrade for 30 days. Am I reading it correctly?
“You can turn off automatic renewal for your domain name or plan by choosing the option to cancel on the Manage Purchase page. If your domain name or plan is outside of our refund window then it will stay active until its expiration date and you will not be automatically charged for its renewal.
If your domain was renewed recently, the option to cancel will not be available. In this case, please select “Contact Support to Cancel your Domain and Refund” to contact support and ask to disable automatic renewal or get in touch with us through other means. We can disable automatic renewal for your domain name or plan.”
