I want to upgrade to premium but not keep my existing theme

  Can’t quite see how to do this. At the moment I just pay for a theme. I want to upgrade to WordPress premium. At the same time I want to drop the existing theme and buy another. At the moment, it looks like if I upgrade I remain stuck with my existing theme.

  advice please

  Activating a Premium theme is similar to activating a Free theme. Here is a grid of all the available Premium themes: https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/sort/premium/

  If you can’t pick just one, get Unlimited Premium Themes for your blog for $120 per year and switch things up as often as you choose!

  Thanks. Further question.

  If I buy a domain, will my existing wordpress.com domain pages map across to the new .com pages. Not certain how best to express this but concerned about people losing track of where my blog lies. So if someone searched on Google for a page and clicks, will that come through to the new .com page or throw a 404 error on the old wordpress.com site.

  As soon as you will set your primary domain, your existing wordpress.com domain will still work. Don’t worry about it!

  Thanks. It is simpler than I thought and have just hopped domains. Design to do but early stages look good. Thanks for help
