  There are many options for posting a photo on your home page. If you use a static page for your home page, you can simply upload the image to your media library, then insert it into the page.

  Alternatively, you can use the Image widget in your sidebar, and link it to an image hosted somewhere else. If you have a Gravatar, you can use the Gravatar widget for the same effect.
