I want to upload my custom theme and it won’t let me.

  I purchased a custom theme from creative market, and tried to upload it but WordPress keep asking me to buy business plan, a domain and whatnots. Is there any way I can just upload the file and play around in WordPress without purchasing anything?

  Hey aspblinne,

  At WordPress.com you can use any external theme only if you have a Business Plan. No other plan’s user can accomplish this.

  I bought the business plan and it still won’t let me upload the theme until I buy domain. I don’t want to buy a domain or set up anything. All I want to do is just redesign and download as zip and send it to my client. But WordPress won’t me to do it. Looks like once I buy something they keep asking me something else. TT_TT

  You could install the standalone persoon of WordPress.org on your computer. Further information at WordPress.org
