I want to upload my own customized Theme

  Hi,

  I want to update a theme I have as a Zip file. How do I do this? I do not want the theme to be accessible for other WP users.

  Hi,
  A theme can’t be uploaded and installed on a WordPress.com hosted site. However, there are a lot of themes already available that you can activate. Also, with the Premium plan, you can use custom CSS to change the look of the theme.

  If you really want to use your own customized theme, then that involves registering a domain, buying hosting, and setting up a site using the free software from WordPress.org: https://wordpress.org/

  Ok, but is there no way for me to upload the theme I have stored locally, edit it in WP and the publishing it? It is an exported customized WP theme for another live site.

  No. Themes can’t be uploaded here. We can only use the ones provided.
