    Hi there!

    You can use your own domain name with a WordPress.com site in one of two ways:

    1. Transfer the domain registration to WordPress.com;
    2. Point the domain to WordPress.com via Domain Connection

    You’ll also need a WordPress.com plan, which will let you set your domain as the primary address on your WordPress.com site. Without a plan, your domain will redirect to the WordPress.com address.

    The WordPress.com Personal plan is a great starting plan. It lets you set your own domain as primary and removes ads from your site. If you upgrade to the yearly plan, you also get a free domain for the first year. You can use the free domain credits to transfer your domain to us as well. We’ll renew the domain for another year after the transfer.
