I want to use my old domain from another registrar

  I just purchased an upgrade and i wanted to use my old domain name “alyssafadera.com” hosted by web.com.ph. I chose the old domain name and was instructed to update my old domain’s name server to “NSX.WORDPRESS.COM”. However, on my old registrar (web.com.ph), I could no longer edit my old domain’s name servers since it was already expired. How do i proceed with this?

  I have already created a ticket in web.com.ph to delete my expired domain so it can be available for use.

  You will have to wait until the domain is released to be re-registered. I’m sorry, but if it has been deleted, there is nothing else to be done.

  If you can still renew the domain through web.com.ph, you could then set the nameservers to point to WordPress.com. But if not, you will need to wait and hope you can re-register.

  So does that mean i have to wait for web.com.ph to release the domain name for availability? I guess that means i have to cancel my premium with wordpress then. I went premium so i can have the domain name and the benefits of the premium. How long does it normally take for my old domain to be released?

  That is something I can’t really answer as it is up to web.com.ph. I would ask them and see what they say.

  I can help you with a refund if you would like to go that route.

  Hi
  alyssafadera.com is now released by web.com.ph. I checked it and it is now available for registration. How do i proceed from here?
  When i go to “my upgrades” it says “dns needs to be updated” under the domain alyssafadera.com. When I click on the “dns needs to be updated”, it still says i need to complete the mapping from my old registrar. How do i proceed from this

  can i press cancel on the domain and re-add it so i can register it? but what if have to pay again?

  do i have to cancel my order and re-do all things over again now that the my old domain is now released

  You didn’t need to cancel everything, we could have just added the domain on.

  However, now that you have, all you need to do is just start over and add WordPress Premium again through the Store link in your Dashboard.
