  I wanted to map my already existing domain with wordpress site. Domain mapping cost is only 13 dollars, but still WordPress is asking me to pay 96 dollars to activate WordPress.com Premium – annual subscription. But I do not need premium subscription. I just want to map the contents from my free wordpress site to my already hosted domain. Can anyone help me with this ?

  Hey vkvikask13,

  The free plan doesn’t allow you to map a domain. To do so, you need to have an upgraded plan and that’s why you were asked to buy an annual subscription to the paid plan.

  Of course you don’t have to upgrade to the Premium plan. The Personal plan will also give you a domain credit that you can use to map a domain you already own.
