I wanted to start over and removed my site, how can I get my domain name back?

    I wanted to start over because when I was importing my site from self-hosted to *.wordpress.com hosted not everything was moved over successfully even though it said it was, so I wanted to start over again, however when I enter my blog domain name it giving me other domain names, but not the one I originally had, so my question is how can I get my domain name back or is that name gone forever, not even someone else can register it i.e. myawesomeblog.wordpress.com?

    About your Domain, if it is with another Registrar, unfortunately, you can’t transfer it to WordPress.com, but the good news is you can easily Map it here and use your domain easily, here is more information about it Map Your Existing Domain
